The Kospet rock is a rugged type smartwatch sold at a very low-cost price tag of ~$36. It’s specially designed for outdoor activities such as hiking, nature, traveling, etc. It has an elongated 1.69-inch rectangle-shaped display with a resolution of 240×280 pixels, so you get a large effective displaying area.
Focusing on notifications, the Kospet rock supports instant messaging notifications so you can get your full-text messages directly to your watch without checking your mobile phone every time. According to the company, it’s also dust and water resistant, so it should have some decent protection, for example, in rain or water submerging for a few seconds. On the whole, an interesting product worth checking out!

The Kospet Rock is a RUGGED smartwatch designed to resist and work in challenging environments. Bring water-proof, dust-proof, and shock-proof. Adopts the robust and sporty style, the light edges make it durable and resistant to water and dirt. The watch is entirely plastic and lightweight, weighing only 46 grams.
Display
The Kospet rock features a 1.69-inch display with a resolution of 240×280 pixels. It comes with a sizeable rectangle-shaped LCD TFT display, much more elongated vs. The conventional square shape design offering a broader and better touch experience. According to our tests, in extreme conditions on a very sunny summer day under direct sunlight, the watch’s brightness could have been slightly better, at least %10-20 higher. This problem can probably be fixed at a software level.
Having said that, If you are engaged in sports activities and are surrounded by a more shaded environment, the watch display provides a decent visual experience in outdoor activities. The brightness is enough to operate the watch and read text messages.
The low brightness level of smartwatch displays is a global problem that you might find in most popular smartwatches, including known brands like Xiaomi, Huawei, and many others when used outdoors in very sunny countries affecting user experience. We also strongly recommend increasing the display brightness to the maximum level.

The Strap(s) provided with the watch is none replaceable. It is effortless to use with enough length to fit any large wrist. From the user’s point of view, 46 grams of weight gave us a good experience.

The sports tracker supports 20 sports modes: running, walking, trail running, cycling, climbing, skiing, swimming, basketball, football, baseball, etc. During running activities, you can receive real-time training data such as heart rate, pedometer, calories, speed, distance, active time, etc.. You also can see your sports route on ‘Da Fit’ App.

Main Setup Screen
Under the main setup screen, you have several options such as the flashlight, vibration (shake) settings, weather configuration settings, brightness level settings, and the theater mode that lets you disable both shake and lower device brightness level to conserve battery power consumption.

The Kospet Rock can be submerged it in deep water up to 30m. But the company strongly advises not to wear it while taking a bath/shower/San, etc.
Battery & Charging
Packed with 350mAh battery and 1200 hours of battery life. With 350mAh Super Large Capacity battery, the watch can last up to 50 days outdoors. The watch’s charging is done with a USB adapter cable using a magnetic latch with contacts that magnetically attach themselves to the connections on the watch’s back. It is a simple and easy method of recharging the Smartwatch, and you can also carry the charging cable adapter in your pocket if needed.
Instant messaging (IM) Notifications
The Kospet rock ‘Da Fit’ mobile app supports notifications for incoming calls and SMS applications (WeChat, QQ, Weibo, Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp, Line, KakaoTalk, Instagram, Skype, etc.). You not only get a more extensive selection of notifications, but you can also read the title of the WhatsApp notification, along with the full content of the message, which is a good thing to have!
Health Monitoring Functions
Kospet Rock supports sleep monitoring, pedometer, sedentary recall, wake-up, weather, music and music monitoring, heart rate monitoring 24 hours a day, blood pressure monitoring, and blood oxygen monitoring.
The watch produced highly accurate results by focusing on the most commonly used health surveillance function, which is the heart rate monitoring function. We tested it against an OMRON Arm Blood Pressure Monitor device that measures blood pressure and pulse. Our blood pressure reading was about 130/80, and the Heart rate was identical on both devices, measuring 68 BPM, Indicting that the Kospet Rock sensor is very accurate.

Final verdict
After playing with Kospet Rock for approximately two days, we can say our opinion about the product is excellent. The watch is well designed, looks fantastic, and offers good functionality and a tremendous graphical UI. The only downside we found in this watch is the lack of more language support, for example, Hebrew, and maybe a beeping sound notification option. The bottom line is it’s a super smartwatch at a super affordable price, so we recommend it!
