Maybe you missed it? Banana Pi BPI-R3 Router Board Review
Banana Pi BPI-R3 Heat sink
The fan base of Banana Pi R3 has shown great excitement and eagerness for this highly anticipated and necessary upgrade. Although the board was initially released in January 2023, supply shortages and COVID-19 restrictions forced the premature launch of the R3 without a suitable cooling solution. Fortunately, the Banana Pi team has now extended their offering of a heat sink solution, complete with a fan that effortlessly connects to the 3-pin 5V socket. This convenience ensures minimal to no complications when assembling a ready-made heat sink.
The package includes two thermal pads that will cover the main ARM chip and the eMMC chip, in addition to the aluminum Heat sink unit. As for the rest of the chips such as the 2G Memory chip and 2.4/5GHz Wi-Fi chips, you will probably need to buy a few extra thermal pads to cover them too.
