Assessing the Performance of the Ethernet LAN Port

We thoroughly assessed the performance of the Orange Pi 4A, specifically examining its 1GbE LAN port using the perf3 speed test tool. This evaluation was conducted between our Windows 11 desktop PC and the 4A board, which served as the server endpoint. Both devices were linked through a high-quality Cat6 Ethernet LAN cable.

Our test results

Based on the findings derived from thorough testing and analysis, it can be concluded that the LAN port is more than capable of delivering an average bidirectional throughput transfer speed of up to 931 Mbits/sec.
