The Poco X6 runs on MIUI 14, built on top of Android 13. While the interface overlay is officially known as “MIUI 14 for Poco,” in practice, there are almost no differences between the standard MIUI 14 and this version. The only noticeable distinction is the default icon style, which seems to be more in line with the classic circular Android design.
The software and user interface of the Poco X6 offer a seamless and intuitive experience, providing users with a range of customizable features and smooth performance. Running on Xiaomi’s MIUI, the Poco X6 software delivers a user-friendly interface that is both visually appealing and functional.
The software stands out for introducing numerous new features and enhancements to the user experience. With a strong emphasis on a polished and efficient interface, MIUI provides a wide array of customization possibilities, enabling users to personalize their Poco X6 according to their preferences. From customizable themes and wallpapers to customizable app icons and fonts, users have the flexibility to tailor their device to showcase their unique style.
In addition to its aesthetic appeal, the software is optimized to deliver snappy and fluid navigation, ensuring that users can effortlessly switch between apps, multitask, and perform various tasks without experiencing any lag or slowdown. This level of performance is particularly beneficial for users who rely on their device for productivity, gaming, or media consumption.
The device offers various productivity tools, such as a file manager, note-taking app, and productivity widgets, all designed to simplify daily tasks. Additionally, it provides a comprehensive security package with features like app lock, privacy protection, and regular security updates to ensure data security and privacy.
The user interface is designed to be easy to use, allowing users to navigate the device and access its functions effortlessly. It has a clean and organized layout, with settings and controls that are easy to find. This ensures that users can quickly find what they need without confusion. Whether it’s adjusting display settings, managing notifications, or accessing system tools, the user interface aims to make the user experience smooth and efficient.
Unlike the X6 Pro, which comes with HyperOS already installed, the X6 will receive it in a firmware upgrade. This upgrade is part of the commitment made by Poco to provide three major updates and four years of security patches.
Pre-Installed Apps and games
The Poco X6 is equipped with various pre-installed apps like Netflix, Spotify, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook, and Booking, along with a variety of games which can be uninstalled if not required. Although these apps can be useful to some users, they might occupy significant storage space and affect the device’s performance. The ability to uninstall them provides users with valuable flexibility and control over their device.
