Poco X7 Pro – HyperOS 2.07.0

The device operates on Xiaomi’s HyperOS 2.07.0, a tailored edition of Android 15.0. This operating system significantly enhances performance, graphics, connectivity, and gaming audio. While Xiaomi has loaded the OS with pre-installed applications and games, the silver lining is that most of them can be uninstalled. However, you’ll find that the integrated GetApps mini app store cannot be removed, as it’s a fundamental component of the OS.

Among the pre-installed apps are popular platforms such as Netflix, TikTok, Booking, LinkedIn, Spotify, Facebook, and WPS Office, along with around eight+ arcade style games that can also be uninstalled if needed.

Who much storage space is available?

In this review, we evaluated the 12GB RAM /512GB variant. Upon setting up the Google app, we checked the available storage and discovered that roughly 493GB remains free out of the total 512GB. It’s worth noting that if you uninstall additional pre-installed apps and games, you could potentially free up even more space, increasing your available storage by several gigabytes.

IR Blaster is also included

Similar to the Snapdragon-powered devices from Qualcomm, the Poco X7 Pro based on MediaTek hardware has got something cool – an IR blaster. It’s a nifty little feature that lets your phone control other devices using infrared signals. So basically, you can use your phone to operate your TV, air conditioner, and other appliances that work with infrared.

It comes in handy, especially when you accidentally break your remote and need a quick way to operate your home stuff. The IR remote app supports a wide range of popular chinese brands, including Samsung, Xiaomi, and many more.
