How to configure the settings
Step No. 1: Check your GPON ONT device information. The location of the information is typically on a label or sticker on the rear side of your device.
Step No. 2: Obtain the GPON SN, PLOAM Password.
Configure your network connection to use a static IP address, then navigate to the web interface at 192.168.1.1 to ensure that all settings are saved.
Step No. 3: Use telnet to connect to the module’s IP address 192.168.1.1 and add the specified parameters (Please review the example provided below).
flash set HW_HWVER 168D.A
flash set CUSTOM_OMCI_SW_VER1 3FE46606BGCB45
flash set CUSTOM_OMCI_SW_VER2 3FE46606BGCB45
flash set PON_VENDOR_ID ALCL
flash set GPON_ONU_MODEL G-240G-E
flash set OMCI_OLT_MODE 0
flash set OUI 6cef
flash set ELAN_MAC_ADDR 6cefc6ffffff
flash set HW_CWMP_PRODUCTCLASS SFU
flash set VS_AUTH_KEY 1CAFC40AC99B014BB013849A92942FEB
reboot
✅ PLOAM Password | Obtained from the ONT device software information screen. (Accessed through the web interface) |
✅ GPON Serial Number | Obtained from the ONT device rear sticker (Applied through the web interface) |
✅ HW_HWVER (Hardware version) | Obtained from the ONT device software information screen. (Applied through telnet access) |
✅ OMCI_SW_VER1 ✅ OMCI_SW_VER1 (Software versions) | Obtained from the ONT device software information screen. (Applied through telnet access) |
✅ ELAN_MAC_ADDR (MAC Address) | Obtained from the ONT device rear sticker (up to 12 digits and characters) It would look like this: (01-23-45-67-89-ab) |
✅ OUI | The first 4 digits of your MAC Address. (Applied through telnet access) |
✅GPON_ONU_MODEL | Obtained from the ONT device information screen or the ONT device information sticker. (Applied through telnet access) |
✅ VENDOR ID | According to the manufacturer’s name (4 letters) For example: ALCL (Nokia/Alcatel-Lucent) (Applied through telnet access) |
✅ VS_AUTH_KEY | You need to create it following this pattern:hsgq1.9aMAC_ADDR_UPPERCASE (Applied through telnet access) |
✅ HW_CWMP_PRODUCTCLASS | IGD (Internet Gateway Device Router) HGU (Home Gateway Unit) SFU (Single Family Unit) |

#gpon get onu-state
If all parameters are entered correctly, the operation state should be set to O5.
What’s so special about the product?
Let’s dive right into the key features of the product. The OFS-GS-001 Module comes with an internal MAC address and tons of flexible options you can configure and tweak such as entering PON/LOID/PLOAM information, MAC filtering, Firewall, VLAN, DMZ and many more options worth exploring.
Optfocus has added a useful WAN option for setting the connection mode. There you can select bridge mode or PPPoE option which is commonly used in GPON optical fiber networks.
Replacing the ISP ONT/ONU with a PON stick (SFP module)
With this optical SFP GPON module, you can seamlessly transfer your GPON subscriber information between different UNO devices without needing a formal activation request from the ISP. You also got telnet access with root privileges for working in command-line interface (CLI) mode.
It’s important to note that in certain countries, altering the information of a subscriber ONT/UNO unit provided by the ISP may be considered illegal and could lead to service disconnection due to security concerns. Consequently, users are solely responsible for any such activities.

To ensure a smooth ordering process, it is vital that you carefully examine your ISP’s requirements and correctly determine the specific interface that suits your needs. Additionally, if you are using an SC APC (Green) module with your ISP, you will need to buy an adapter converter from SC APC to SC UPC.
