Software Support
The SK1 Android TV box runs on the powerful Android TV 11.0 OS, providing an exceptional user experience. We have personally witnessed its responsiveness and snappy performance. Ugoos offers two flexible, to choose launcher options: the traditional grid layout UI style called ULauncher and the sleek and straightforward Launcher3. Both options deliver a seamless and enjoyable user experience. In summary, the decision between the two UI designs is entirely based on the user’s individual preferences.
Ugoos Launchers: ULauncher and Launcher3

Pre-installed applications
The SK1 OS is delivered without any additional pre-installed apps except for the Total Commander app and a few essential apps for device operation and control such as AM Player, AirScreen, UPlayer, Android Remote Service, MoviePlayer, Miracast, Ugoos Remote Server, and more. If you require YouTube, you can install it from the Google Play Store.
Special Software Features
Ugoos has integrated several noteworthy features, including support for superuser (special root access), advanced audio options such as Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus, DTS, DTS-HD, Dolby TrueHD, advanced power saver settings, mouse cursor customization, button manager that allows you to program buttons, and lastly, the HDMI CEC feature that can be used to control multiple devices with a single remote via Ugoos remote.
Compatibility with 64-bit applications
The SK1 runs a 64-bit kernel version 5.4.210, even though it runs on a 32-bit system. This allows the firmware to harness the advanced capabilities of a 64-bit architecture, enabling the OS to fully leverage the 8 GB RAM capacity.
Currently, only 32-bit apps are compatible with the device’s operating system, which means that it’s likely you won’t be able to fully utilize the entire 8 GB of RAM range, but rather only 4 GB. Although there is potential for Amlogic to introduce 64-bit SDK support in the future, the timing of this development is still uncertain.
What is the actual amount of internal storage space available?
Based on the specifications, you have a generous 128 GB of internal eMMC storage. However, in practice, as a user, you will have approximately 117 GB of free space at your disposal. This slight reduction is owed to the presence of supplementary file system files and pre-installed apps within the OS firmware, which inevitably take up additional storage capacity.
Available storage space information

Does the device have a MicroSD Card slot? Not included
Ugoos didn’t include it in the SK1 model. Most likely because the 117 GB internal storage space is adequate for most users. The internal storage space should suffice for most users, but it would have been convenient to have an SD card slot for expanding storage if needed.
With the availability of cloud storage options and USB OTG support, users have the flexibility to expand their storage using an external hard drive. However, Adding an NVMe socket option would be an incredibly valuable enhancement.
