150+ workout modes
The Xiaomi smart bands and watches provide a wide range of sports activities and comprehensive health monitoring. All of these features are conveniently accessible under a single app called Mi Fitness, which is considered to be one of the most advanced apps available, rivaling even Huawei Health App in terms of functionality and capabilities.
The majority of individuals, excluding professional athletes, usually engage in a select few sports activities that they genuinely find pleasure in. In practice, it can be highly beneficial to have access to a wide range of more than 150+ different sports options.
Heart monitoring
The heart monitoring sensor is highly valuable due to its capability in providing real-time data on heart rate and detecting abnormal heart rhythms. It has been extensively tested and proven to be highly accurate. It plays a pivotal role in monitoring sleep patterns and measuring stress levels, making it an indispensable tool.
How precise is the measurement of heart rate?
We decided to put it to the test. In our test, we used a pulse oximeter to measure oxygen saturation, including heart rate. Afterward, we proceeded to compare the results. Our results were surprisingly good. The margin of error was approximately ±1-3 BPM, which is almost comparable to that of a medical-grade device.
More monitoring options available.
You can either use the watch on its own to monitor your heart rate, or pair it with the Mi fitness app for a more comprehensive tracking experience. The app provides great detailed reports and history information on your BPM levels over days, weeks, and even months. There are several options available for setting up this feature. You can choose to set intervals in minutes to continuously monitor your BPM levels, with options available for every 1, 10, or 30 minutes. Alternatively, you can use the smart mode, which is likely to conserve more battery power.
Heart rate info and settings.
In addition, Xiaomi has introduced an SOS alert feature that includes automatic emergency phone number dialing in case of potentially life-threatening cardiac failure situations. You can enter your hospital phone number or the contact information for your personal physician in case of emergencies.
Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis (BIA)
It is also known as Xiaomi Body Composition. In terms of this department, there are only a few minor changes, but overall, it closely resembles the features found in Samsung watches. This feature is based on scientific principles and uses electrical current to measure body fat. The current flows through the body and the voltage is measured to calculate the impedance (resistance and reactance) of the body.
The watch sensor can accurately assess various body composition parameters, those include skeletal muscle mass, fat mass, Bone mass, BMR, and several other measurements. Xiaomi added new metrics and insights to their watches that Samsung watches currently don’t have. They also displayed the data in a user-friendly graphic format. For example, salts, protein, muscle mass and body water percentage level.

Does it really supports ECG?
No ECG is available yet, but the heart rate measurement is very precise. I think they will
Implement this option in the future.
