Impressive Performance and Battery Life
Another noteworthy feature of the Xiaomi Watch S3 is its battery life. The battery life is a constant concern when it comes to smartwatches. With its powerful 420mAh battery, this watch allows users to effortlessly keep up with their daily activities on just a single charge, eliminating the hassle of frequent charging. Unlike many other smartwatches on the market that require daily charging, Xiaomi’s optimized HyperOS is a smart leap forward in improving battery life and user experience.
Charging the Watch
Xiaomi uses the same universal magnetic charging base connected to a USB cable as the one used in the S2 and S2 Pro watch series. It’s easy to connect to any USB port or a compatible portable charger for maximal convenience.
We conducted an experiment to measure the charging rate using a 5V charger. Starting from a completely discharged battery, we successfully charged the watch’s battery to 100% in approximately 50 minutes.
Exploring the Charging Efficiency of the Battery.
How long does the battery endure on a single charge?
Xiaomi asserts that with moderate usage, its battery can last up to 15 days. However, in real-world scenarios, particularly with more intensive use, it is likely to last around 10 days. The battery longevity heavily depends on the functions being utilized. For instance, listening to music while engaging in a workout with the GPS activated will significantly drain the battery faster compared to only using the watch for receiving daily notifications.
Fitness Tracking and Health Monitoring
Fitness tracking and health monitoring have become essential features in modern smartwatches, and the Xiaomi Watch S3 does not disappoint in this regard. The watch offers a range of fitness tracking features, including step counting, distance tracking, and calorie monitoring. These features allow users to keep track of their daily activities and set fitness goals.
In addition to fitness tracking, the Xiaomi Watch S3 also offers comprehensive health monitoring features that also exist in a wide range of wearable products designed by Xiaomi. It can monitor heart rate, sleep patterns, and even stress levels. The metrics provided by the watch can be invaluable for individuals seeking to enhance their overall well-being and make proactive lifestyle changes to optimize their health, and it does it well.
How precise is the heart rate sensor?
When we compared the readings from a fingertip pulse oximeter to our standard measurements, we observed that the pulse oximeter readings presented a maximum deviation in the range of approximately ±3 beats per minute.
